SECOND NATURE: A Group Exhibition
August 22 - September 27 | Reception August 22, 5-7 pm
In the John Little Barn

Felix Davey, Brutalist Hedge, 2020 - C-print face mounted on plexi

Second Nature is a group exhibition exploring the landscapes we have shaped, and the wilderness that shapes our lives, featuring artists; Felix Davey, Francine Fleischer,
Andy Harris, Elisa Jensen, Kate Salke, and Charles Yoder.

The show brings together a group of artists who find meaning in nature's quieter registers, the overlooked, and the close at hand.

The works in this exhibition share a sustained attention to the natural world, its seasonal shifts, and it’s quiet persistence in our day-to-day lives, rather than its picturesque qualities.

Duck Creek's John Little Barn with its weathered timbers, wide plank floors, and open rafters carry the history of agricultural life on the East End. To encounter artworks here, surrounded by the property's meadow and mature trees, is to experience creativity as something continuous with the world outside, not separate from it.
