EXHIBITION / PROGRAM PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
The Arts Center at Duck Creek welcomes proposals for exhibitions, programs, performances, and events that engage artists and audiences within our unique historic setting.
Please note: Duck Creek’s Music Series is curated and does not accept unsolicited proposals.

September 1 – October 1, 2026
Deadline: October 1 at 12 PM
Proposals submitted before September 1 or after the deadline will not be considered.

WHAT TO SUBMIT
Please combine all materials into one PDF under 10MB. Links to additional materials are welcome.
Your proposal should include:
Contact information
CV or resume (maximum 3 pages per participant)
A concise project summary
10–15 images representing the proposed exhibition, project, or program
Title, date, dimensions, and materials for each artwork shown
Clear identification of any images included for reference only
Installation plans and any relevant technical or logistical requirements
Artworks included in an exhibition proposal should be available for exhibition. If your proposal is selected, we are also open to discussing the inclusion of new work.
HOW PROPOSALS ARE REVIEWED
Final proposals are reviewed by a rotating jury of Duck Creek alumni.
We will do our best to notify applicants of decisions by January 10, 2027, if not sooner.
WORKING WITH OUR HISTORIC SITE
Duck Creek operates on historic Town of East Hampton property, and all proposals must be compatible with the buildings, grounds, our License Agreement with the Town, and public safety requirements.
Please clearly describe any installation requirements that could affect the building or grounds. Projects cannot compromise the historic integrity of the property or create safety concerns, including issues related to fire code, structural or weight-bearing limitations, walls or floors, toxic materials, or other potentially damaging installation methods.

IMPORTANT SITE & USE RESTRICTIONS
Maximum occupancy of the John Little Studio: 40 people
All programs must be free and open to the public. Suggested donations are permitted.
No retail activity. Duck Creek is not a commercial gallery. We support artists’ interest in selling their work and may provide artist or representative contact information, but Duck Creek does not participate in sales.
No private events. The grounds must remain open to the public from dawn to dusk.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION SPACES
The Duck Creek barns are historic landmarks and cannot be structurally modified.
The buildings are not climate-controlled, and doors remain open during public hours. The barns are alarmed for theft and fire but do not have fire-suppression systems. Artists should consider these conditions when proposing work.
